En el Paseo, Altea

Quick sketch of this part of the Mediterranean, while having some drinks on the De Lab terrace, on the promenade that connects Altea with Albir. Serra Gelada and Faro del Albir lie in the background.

Carrion Crow

A crow from a photo reference.

It started as an ink-only drawing, made with a (fake) Micron Pen. At a medium stage, i decided to add some blue watercolour, what showed to be more pleasant and effective.

The feathers down the head produce beautiful textures.

Reed Pen and Ink

With just a wooden stick and some black ink, the marks and lines one can make are very effective. Van Gogh knew it, and with these tools he made many of the amazing drawings of his last years.

This is my version of van Gogh’s «The Rock of Montmajour with Pine Trees». Reed Pen and Ink on Canson Mix Media paper.

Café Colón

A veces haces un dibujo simplemente como calentamiento y se acaba convirtiendo en un dibujo definitivo. En este caso es una pena porque el encuadre no es bueno.

Coche antiguo

Viendo una entrada en el blog de Liz Steel, me gustó mucho una foto de un coche antiguo. Interesante forma la sombra arrojada que se funde con las ruedas.

El resultado no es muy bueno, pero saqué alguna conclusión interesante. Los reflejos metálicos en el parachoques me parecían muy difíciles para acuarela pero no lo son.
